#6 LONE EAGLE- 6/1 1pt win- looked just as Impressive as #5 ADAYAR when trying to make all on good ground in the Irish Derby, was the Winner on Merit Rating 138 today carrying only 8 stone ten i could add and extra pound for that performance of high class at the curragh -ADAYAR 142 Is clearly best in with the weights again the older Horses and Rates a massive Threat how Both Horse are not 9/4 and 3/1 favs is beyond my Knowledge?

fair against some spectacular performers in Mishriff- Love and the Brilliant Wonderful tonight, but with the conditions of the weights it favours the forementioned Horses 6-5 Tru the older Horses can outrun and carry the weight maybe> Mishrif 130+ needed run on season debut- on fast ground would be my pick if that did happen and if it turned soft then Wonderful tonight -135 soft 12f would be un playable in ground she loves

Love 134 10f 12f has done wonders but this is the best field of horses she has ever encountered and her marks need improving to win just by a little bit but theres every reason to think she could-

#6 King Frankel-114 GM+ is beautifully bred almost wish he should have been a she? Dam line is by far the strongest in this line up 2nd dam beaten just!! in both english & Irish Oaks ? Looks like he needs a strong pace though, I wont rule out Headingly 115+ this Looks a target race after his 3rd race and the form with the boughey horse has really taken off? i would say the form if you followed all of the lines for headingly they get very interesting and looks like a slow race would suit very well, Fox Tales 114+ GM-has to be a danger to all King Of clubs 116 GM- (

Dubia Honour 118 TOP RATED)

Peter the Great 114 GM+ all look similar and any could show much more today I still Like King Frankels Pedigree if this race is half decent pace the pedigree is there for all to see and could be well above these proably not as exposed as you may think?

RACE tips day 1 of royal ascot plus a Handicapping module is built into todays info for Handicapping students and Overseas Handicappers to Handicap every Royal Ascot race which should yield favouring results written and devised by Flat Racing Guru UK
The Turf should be good to firm Id say descriptively in the press? it will be good due to the Overwatering they do at Ascot each-RA year, I don’t know why British Race clerks of the courses are so Infatuated with putting ex amounts of water on our racetracks when we live in a country where it rains every week and even in the summer we can expect rain at some point in the week, they cite safe ground & horse safety!! which is fair enough (unless you are a trainer of a horse who thrives on true fast turf)
and we have to live with that, the most important thing to remember in handicapping our races is we have the data of when horses by pedigree or not? (form patters??) run different figures on different going types and the turf there are several going factors to handicapping a horse-however we will most likley hit the most accurate figures this week on good going even good to firm? that is fine as all figs are based on good turf in turf racing- to my American & South African Handicapping Colleagues there are many good sources of Data to handicap UK Races from?

one of the best tools to use is the Racingpost.com to my opinion they have the best Handicappers, and to get a base to work from there postmarks system is very accurate, but now I will help you get a more accurate picture, Starting in the first race at Royal Ascot,
now if you do sign up and become a subscriber you get a list of all the horses’ races and the figure it ran on, the ground it ran on, and the postmark it achieved, in the said race, we can pretty much say the horses in this race are established and? the horses would have run to their peak powers in one of their last 5 or 6 races, most of those races would have been target races given the stature of the Horses ability as these are the best Milers in the world.
now at this level of competition, they are taking on similarly rated horses with similar profiles and pedigrees!! we can now look at each horse and measure their ability against the conditions of the races they were in, some performed better on soft going for those that performed better on soft going did they also perform as well on good or faster going?

if they did then they can be measured for the highest of those performances, how can we measure any horse that could improve in this race compared to all its previous established form? well, there are ways, Look at the distance of the race, the form of the trainer, 1) if the Horse was gaining at the end of a fast race over this distance or a lesser or further race distance? 2) was the form of the trainer good at that time? if the trainer was out of form and now he is in the form it is likley if the horse performed well when the trainer was out of form? the horse will exceed its mark more probably if the conditions are met in this race in a likley pace scenario,

where the horse will have the perfect set up to travel and come through with a late challenge because of the pace set up?? or not this can work the other way when likley a front running type will get an easy lead and be able to hold on with his advantage of being prominent in a slow pace scenario?
3) go through each of the past two races of those horses and follow any lines of form from horses in those races who have since run and measure those races- this is better applied to much younger form races to horses who are less raced? but it still can count in this type of established form race.

4) the unknown Data, algorithms in betting, if you know the connections of horses whose owners are bettors then it is prudent to take note of betting patterns: even for horses you think cannot win on the form in the book.
this is something all of you handicappers from other parts of the world with your different systems of measuring speed and races know of? and it cant be taught? it just is, the other thing you can’t teach if you are an owner like myself, I can usually tell if the algorithm is the correct algorithm for said owners and trainers: many times I have stated to my colleagues this is not how this operation bet their horses, this!! it is a false algorithm. it takes years to build up this knowledge? when I was young I didn’t understand what I do today, even though I was still a pretty good handicapper, when I was much younger.
those US Handicappers I’ve spoken to a lot don’t know how to Handicap UK Turf form – Even Though it was Like a duck to water for me many yrs ago when I started Handicapping South African race meritform, It has taken me longer understanding the American Par /Beyer speed systems and they’re handicapping in the states, is much more condensed due to the weight they carry? it is more a horse for course or ability class wise trainer form and horses peak form cycles as well as breeding.
I have done a lot of research in US Pedigrees Like I did with South African Pedigrees which must be kept up to date with New stallions and Broodmares each season, it is much easier to handicap US CLASS A races than the Msw Caimers et al- and now the New Biodata stride pattern systems coming through which many handicappers are unaware of?
Now to Handicapping race 1 see if you can spot anything I miss? this will set you up to handicap all of the races at Royal Ascot and Hopefully, I have steered you in the right direction to picking many more winners- theirs an absolute ton of stuff I want to tell you about Handicapping across the globe but this is the best way I could explain in Layman’s terms,

just a smidgen of what you kneed to know it can get very complex and I would need to do this explaining in a seminar or something? BOOK/SEMINAR) writing it down would take a book full of advice and learned data from 35 yrs experience as a handicapper and Horse racing Owner Bloodstock knowledge -including the stuff I can’t say in an open setting on Laboratories Blood sampling and the use of Aides and how to spot a trainer who uses aides to your advantage to winning races and making heaps of cash, something you cannot be learned in an open setting, your profiling data should immediately tell you through your data research of profiling? who these trainers are that do this? the figures and data don’t lie it only reveals? which you can use to advantage in Betting terms.
RACE 1 2.30 BST. m (Str) Queen Anne Stakes (Group 1) (British Champions Series) (Class 1) (4yo+)
#6 PALACE PIER Weight>> 9 stone- 57.15.kilos= -rated 125+ Ran similar races Newbury Ascot CD- Deauville last 3runnings postmark is best at 127 Good to soft and 126 Good- Beat an Improving filly last time in the shape of Lady Bowthorpe whose form while not this class but is an Improving filly last 4 races and Looks very well rated- Lady Bowthorp had previously beat Queen Power at Newmarket and Looked a very smart prospect in her Division,

I believe she runs later this week and will be hard to beat in that type of race she is entered for, Back to today!! Palace Pier Looked to do it well but still Looked like a Horse who has more to offer so maybe we can add 1 pound to todays performance based on this better ground? so how do we add up all of the figures to get to our rating postmark or Guru-merit-rating? Palace pier carries 9 stone- we always add the difference with weight a horse carries to the ceiling mark for flat racing 10 stone?
any horse who carries more than 10 stone flat 12 stone amateur flat races takes away from the final number!! the horse has been raised since its last run and gets into this race but with a penalty scenario there. so the horse gets 14pounds from the handicapper carries 9 stone and ceiling for flat 10 stone take away the excess add to rating? the Horse is rated 127 based on the last 3 runs not the official but the last 3 runs and going. I have added 1 pound to that so 127 +1+14+!= 142 that is a high-quality group 1 horse

Now we go through the race doing this to every horse, to find todays overall guru merit rating or postmark or use your handicapping name- were using another system to cannibalize it and use it for a host for our upgraded system where over the yrs you can develop your tweaks to this system-one more very important detail to handicapping turf races in Europe this is based on the distance of race and proximity to horses around you rating a horse, 5f-6f-7f races 1 length between horses is 3 pounds – 1 mile 9 furlongs= 2pounds is 1 length -10/11 furlongs 1.5 pounds = 1 length, 12 furlongs and beyond 1 pound equates to 1 length –

what do I mean by this? well, two horses race against each other, 1 horse is rated 100 Guru merit! horse two has no rating, horse 1 carries 9 stone horse two carries 8 stone 11 pounds and the race is over= 7 furlongs horse two beats horse 1 by 2 lengths what is horse 2s postmark? it is well 2 lengths is 6 pounds horse 1 was rated 100 and it looks like the form is well based on other horses also in that race running good races between each other based on ratings and the form, therefore, looks sound-
horse 2 was carrying 3 pounds less than horse 1 firstly add 6 =106 then deduct 3 for weight carried, which was 3 pounds less than horse 1- so in theory horse 2 is 3 pounds better than horse 1 which is 1 length over this distance of 7f- and because this was horse 1s first race, it can be even better than 106 based on this debut win against a seasoned racehorse with an established rating of 100- therefore- horse 2 is rated at 103 by beating a horse rated 100 by 2 lengths but was carrying less weight so the total rating is adjusted to 103 postmark or Gurumerit-

do this over and over again until you get the gist of this system of handicapping turf horses in Europe based on using the racing post website to rate your horses more accurately but use postmark at first and develop your skills along the way
Now I can safely handicap the rest of royal ascot and if I don’t give you commentary you know I have researched the race this way and others to get to my final wagering selections. thank you for your patience in this Module of Handicapping Horseraces- by flat racing Guru UK

ties in with a few in here I explained yesterday in the Lines with Palace pier Lady Bowthorpe has basicall Left that Queen Power Lavender Blue form behind and Improved again when second to Palace pier and this i rate Lady Bowthorpe 5 pounds Higher than Postmark at 135 unless the others have made similar Improvment? it was the visual performace not only the figs what impressed me about Lady Bowthorpe, shes by Nathanial out of a very fast mare bought out of Italy by Robert Cowel -doesnt matter if it is Kentucky sales or far flung Italian shires if theirs speed Robert Cowel wont be far away?-

LOL />>>><<<. 2nd Dam whipped cream bred in Kentucky by Kingmambo won races from 9 starts further down the female line Merangue Pie & Bavarian Cream both won black type group 3 races a mixture of stamina on the top of the page paired with speed speed sspeed on the Bottom and youd want to see a midpack race coming through Late is the way Ascot is Playing with the top of the gound firming but still that cusion underneath of thick- grass making it quite a test? even though it is perfect raceable ground it is taking some getting even described as good to firm -I can only describe the going today as like Tapeta- ver hard to win from the front? and taxing late on allowing horses to come from far back if their in Peak condition

#3 Lord North* i exceptionally Smart i do wonder if hes recovered from Meydan where more Bleeding was diagnosed, breaking bloodvessels stops a horse cold so the fact he won seaks volumes of the Horses courage

Handicapping Module by Flat Racing Guru UK june 12 2021

ROYAL ASCOT AND HORSE RACING HANDICAPPING MODULE BY FLAT RACING GURU UK JUNE 12 2021 copyright trademark

Wesley Ward an American Horse racing Trainer in Royal Ascot in June
Forget about the men dressed to resemble penguins or magicians – whatever it is they’re going for – or the traditional betting market on the color of The Queen’s dress when she arrives at the racecourse in a horse-drawn carriage. What really distinguishes Royal Ascot is its unusual narrative arc.
Humans are conditioned to expect rising dramatic tension. Think Breeders’ Cup, where the most important, richest race, the Classic, is the last of the meeting. Royal Ascot’s five-day run begins with the Queen Anne Stakes, a Group 1 mile. The Tuesday card rolls on with the Group 1 St. James’s Palace Stakes and the Group 1 King’s Stand, and if you miss Day 1, you have missed the best Royal Ascot has to offer.

One person who does not miss Royal Ascot – American trainer Wesley Ward. Ward sent nine horses for his annual Ascot assault but only runs eight at the meet, with Nappa Spirit redirected from one of a couple options at Ascot to the Prix du Bois on June 20 at Chantilly. Ward has opening day bullets with Maven (who won the 2019 Prix du Bois) in the Group 1 King’s Stand Stakes and with Kaufymaker, the early fixed-odds betting favorite for the Coventry, a six-furlong dash for 2-year-olds.
Maven exits the fastest race of his life, a Keeneland second-level turf-sprint allowance race, his first start since being gelded, but is not the best American hope in the five-furlong, straight-course King’s Stand. The Brendan Walsh-trained, David Ross-owned Extravagant Kid shipped to Dubai and won the Group 1 Al Quoz Sprint in March and travels to England with a real chance.
“He traveled great, settled in good, trained this morning and everything went really good,” Walsh said Thursday. “He just seems to thrive on the travel.”
Battaash has won the King’s Stand, finished second in it twice, and is the early favorite to notch a second victory.
Palace Pier, who looks like the best miler in Europe for the time being, is an extremely short favorite for the Queen Anne, which includes 2020 Breeders’ Cup Mile upset winner Order of Australia.
Ward calls Kaufymaker, his Coventry starter, the “best” 2-year-old in his 2020 Ascot arsenal. “Some of the other five-furlong horses are quicker, but she’s the best, in my opinion,” Ward said. Ward does plenty of weather watching in advance of the trip, hoping for good going that will suit his horses.
The course should be good on Tuesday before a chance of rain comes into the forecast, but Ward expects nothing quicker than good on opening day. “Tuesday it should be pretty good, but the problem is they water the hell out of the course. It’s never fast and firm for opening day,” said Ward.
Tuesday’s third Group 1, the one-turn-mile St. James’s Palace for 3-year-olds, had a bunched betting market late this week, with English 2000 Guineas winner Poetic Flare tepidly favored over Mostahdaf.
The Group 1 Prince of Wales’s Stakes over 10 furlongs headlines the Wednesday program and is expected to bring out Love, who demonstrated superstar power last year at age 3 but hasn’t raced since August. Wet course conditions cut short her 2020 campaign and delayed her 4-year-old debut, with Aidan O’Brien scratching Love from the Tattersalls Gold Cup last month after the course came up very soft. Love is expected to face Lord North, last seen winning the Group 1 Dubai Turf over nine furlongs.

Ward on Wednesday runs Belmont Park turf-sprint maiden winner Twilight Gleaming in the Group 2 Queen Mary over five furlongs, a 2-year-old race he has won five times, including in 2020 with Campanelle.

“She’s probably the quickest one of all,” Ward said. Ruthin, a debut winner turf sprinting at Keeneland, goes in the Windsor Castle and, Ward said, should be less green second time out now that she’s been fitted with a figure-eight noseband and a tongue tie.
Another American 2-year-old, Artos, also runs in the Queen Mary, and will be trainer Rusty Arnold’s first Ascot starter.

Thursday is Gold Cup Day, which means Stradivarius is running. The 7-year-old staying superstar has won this 2 1/2-mile race three years in a row and is heavily favored to take a fourth. Ward takes two shots in the Norfolk Stakes with Lucci and Nakatomi. Nakatomi outworked Lucci, Ward said, when they went as a team at Keeneland before shipping overseas, but Lucci, also adding a figure eight and a tongue tie, got the better of Nakatomi when the two worked in England.
Friday’s card features two Group 1s, the Coronation, a mile race around a bend for 3-year-old fillies, and the six-furlong, straight-course Commonwealth Cup for 3-year-olds, which includes mild early favorite, Campanelle. The filly was entered to make her 3-year-old debut in April at Keeneland but was scratched from a turf-sprint stakes with a bruised heel, Ward said.
English 1000 Guineas winner Mother Earth goes in the Coronation.
Closing day, Saturday, Ward runs perhaps his longest price of the week, Golden Bell, in the Albany on a card headlined by the six-furlong Diamond Jubilee. And then Royal Ascot goes dark for another year. by Markus Hearsh DRF
